What is an antiseptic?
Antibacterial wipes will only kill bacteria while antimicrobial wipes kill not only bacteria but also virus and fungi.
What is the difference between antiseptic and antibiotic?
Antiseptics and antibiotics are often believed to be the same because they have common properties but there are a few key differences. Antiseptics weaken and slow the growth of bacteria and other microorganisms and so they help to prevent the bacteria from causing further infection.
Antibiotics, however, kill bacteria as well as some types of fungi and parasites. Unlike most antiseptics, bacteria may become resistant to antibiotics after prolonged use.
Why StayGuard™ Body Wipes should be single-use?
When used properly, antibacterial wipes can be effective at killing the bulk of bacteria on a surface. However, when the wipes are re-used, utilized on multiple surfaces, or dragged across a long surface, they can actually transfer bacteria. Since the wipes eliminate most bacteria, the remaining bacteria can quickly multiply without any competition, colonizing surfaces which were swiped with the wipe. Ironically, using an antibacterial wipe can actually cause bacteria to spread.
How should StayGuard™ Body Wipes be stored?
To ensure the wipes do not dry out, close the packaging firmly after use to retain moisture. Keep away from direct sunlight and heat.
